The basic research is done, and before I begin making the earnest effort to digest the raw results, let me first thank all who participated--especially Beezling, who topped his prolific performance on round one with an incredible turn on round two--he did 319 this time around, doing by far the bulk of the entries. Access to contractor misconduct database restricted in Senate bill: A bill mandating the creation of a federal contractor misconduct database is one step closer to becoming law, but a lack of support in the Senate has forced Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., its primary sponsor, to limit access only to government officials. (GovExec)
Ex-CIA Official Indicted Over Agency Job for Mistress: A federal grand jury has accused a former top CIA official of pulling strings to get a high-level CIA job for his mistress, as part of a new indictment against the official in an existing corruption case. (Washington Post)
House panel wants greater oversight of ‘shared employees’: A House panel agreed Wednesday that greater oversight of staffers who work for more than one member is needed along with a set of guidelines to prevent future cases of fraud from occurring in offices. (The Hill)
Another ‘Shared’ Aide Investigated: House Inspector General James Cornell told a House committee on Wednesday that his office has uncovered a second “shared employee” who appears to have been improperly billing Member offices for expenses. (Roll Call)

Officials from the University of Nebraska told him that they had not received all of a $1 million medical research earmark he had secured for them. The Department of Defense, the agency controlling the money, was withholding 12 percent of the total to oversee the project. (New York Times)

Hastert's youngest son is a lobbyist with Podesta/Mattoon who rode the wave of Dan Mattoon lifelong friendship with Hastert right up the steps of the Capitol. They are now one of the largest and most powerful lobbying firms in DC, thanks to Denny. And to put icing on the cake they even employ Hastert's youngest lost son, who went from one failed venture to another until he landed with Podesta/Mattoon. He represents Pentagon contractors on the hill.
Also did you know that Hastert bought another 78 acres of land in Southwest Wisconsin with another $400,000 from his land deal you helped bring to the nation's attention. He actually had the nerve to buy another acreage next to the one he bought last year on October 13th.
His old friend and "partner-in-crime" Dallas Ingemunson defended Hastert saying, " He wants a place to go once in a while."
